Plowshares is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool and Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves engaging with toddler and/or preschool-aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through various educational activities.
Responsibilities include:
-Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
-Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.
-Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good conduct among students.
-Provide individualized care and attention to each child, ensuring their welfare and developmental needs are met.
-Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns regarding their welfare.
-Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote healthy habits among children.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in early childhood education practices and incorporate them into the classroom setting.
Candidate Requirements:
-A minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
-Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly desirable.
-Knowledge of child welfare principles and early intervention strategies.
-Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
-Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
-Familiarity with standardized testing methods for early childhood education is a plus.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
-A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through educational play.
