North Village Preschool is seeking a part-time assistant teacher with the possibility of full-time employment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and promoting the overall development of students.
NVP is a small mixed age group program. We enroll children 18 months through 6 years old. Our school year is from September to June. Our summer program is from June through August. We offer half-day and full-day options. We are open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lesson plans
Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment.
Foster relationships with students to encourage their social, emotional, and academic growth.
Help implement individualized education plans for students.
Supervise & engage with students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Speak with families about their child's day.
Collaborate with other staff members.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Experience
Previous experience working with children is required.
Requirements
CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain if hired.
