Reptile and Small Animal Birthday Party Handler
My Petting Zoo Party and My Reptile Guys
Please note: These are two separate positions. We are looking for one handler for reptiles and another handler for small animals.
Do you like working with animals and kids? If yes, then this is the job for you. We provide education and entertainment for children's birthday parties and for school programs.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO HOUSE AND CARE FOR THE ANIMALS IN YOUR HOME (not an apartment). YOU MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO BRING THE ANIMALS TO A PARTY OR SCHOOL EVENT AND CONDUCT THE PETTING ZOO/REPTILE SHOW.
Our animals are clean, domesticated, docile creatures accustomed to being indoors/outdoors and around children of all ages.

Bearded Dragons (small lizard)

Reptile Show Animals:
Burmese Python
Snapping Turtle
Honduran Milk Snake
Red-Ear Slider

Blue-Tongue Skink
Corn Snake
Uromastyx Lizard
Giant Tegu Lizard
Yellow-Foot Tortoise
Actual reptiles may vary.
Since we work with kids, we only use the cutest and safest animals. We do not use large farm animals that are impossible to keep at home.
We do our petting zoo parties on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm. 5:00 pm.
Our reptile parties are at various dates and times 7 days a week.
Compensation:
Reptile Shows:
$100 to $125 per show plus tips. The average tip is $25 per show. Each show is 40 to 60 minutes. You could have 2 to 5 shows per weekend, which could equal $200 plus tips to $500 plus tips per weekend. Over the summer months, school and childcare centers book us during business hours.
Petting Zoos:
We normally do 2 to 5 parties per weekend. We pay $200 per party, plus you get to keep your tips. Tips are from $25 to $50 for most parties. Please note that not all customers tip. You can make from $400 to $800 (average) per weekend.
We provide all the animals and caging, but you will have to care for them and keep them at your home. A house or an apartment with a spare room is required to keep the animals. You must be able to provide ample space to comfortably house the animals.
This is a part-time weekend job position. Training is provided and no prior knowledge required. You must be responsible and punctual. IF YOU ARE A LATE PERSON, DO NOT APPLY.

Requirements:
- Good with kids and parents
- Comfortable with housing 10 reptiles at your residence (caring for them).
- Be a clear speaker and be able to perform educational and entertaining shows.
- Have a love of children, animals, teaching, and be outgoing and fun-hearted.
- Possess good customer service skills to interface with parents and teachers.
-Includes sometimes extensive driving to locations for events. You need to be an excellent driver and have room in your vehicle for the reptiles and their supplies.
-Present in a professional manner (no visible tattoos or body piercings).
EDUCATION
At least 2 years of college or an associate degree is desirable.
This is a fun, rewarding, and enjoyable job, which offers lots of freedom and autonomy. It is a high paying job for the amount of time you actually work.
