Project Professional, Geotech Engineer

Responsibilities: The Project Professional, Geotech Engineer is responsible for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists across the company to design, influence, execute, measure, and improve engineering design workflows and client experiences through software and analytics. Performing civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements. Observing and documenting field investigations and/or foundation and earthwork-related construction and remediation activities. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams. Assisting with preparation of civil engineering recommendations for various foundation systems, including driven piles, drilled piers, mat foundations, micro-piles, and spread footings. Assisting with the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposal efforts on small- to medium-sized project opportunities. Assisting in the development of construction drawings and technical specifications. Working with data engineers on complex datasets and data standardization. Supporting data acquisition and analysis of remote sensing and instrumentation projects. Producing engaging data visualizations. Working with the team to develop large-scale predictive models. 100% telecommuting permitted through the U.S. 10% domestic travel required.

Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Requirements: 2 year of experience as Geotechnical Engineer, Earth Science Engineer, Civil Engineer, or in related roles. Other special requirements include: 2 years of experience working with Python; 2 years of experience working with multivariate statistics; 2 years of experience working with Machine Learning algorithms; 2 years of experience cleaning and batch analyzing instrumentation and subsurface exploration data; 2 years of experience producing high-quality interactive visualizations; 2 years of experience extracting, transforming, loading data and building data pipelines; and 1 year of experience with SQL and relational databases.
