About the Job:

One of Boston's rapidly growing fin-tech companies is looking for a Remote Full Stack Engineer. You will be mentored by senior engineers while working to streamline the cloud-based residential valuation process. An ideal candidate is collaborative, enjoys high impact work, values a tight-knit culture, and is looking to learn and grow from senior leadership.





Responsibilities:


  • Build out software and implement new functionality for products

  • Utilize Python & JavaScript languages to debug and fix existing software

  • Create new features using Agile Software development methods

  • Build APIs to support frontend features and bug fixes

  • Use Mongo and/or PostgreSQL, Python, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux to implement initial baseline of features

  • Create unit testing for features, bugs fixes, & merge requests, participate in code reviews, & estimate timelines

  • Collaborate with team to design new programs and software functionality and drive towards standardization

  • Deliver new functionality, code optimizations, and bug fixes: explore technical problems and deliver results on schedule; identify gaps in requirements or designs & present viable solutions

  • Work with team to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, & translate into new features & bug fixes




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Computer Science , or related field

  • 2-3 years of experience with Python development

  • Proficient in using basic software lifecycle & the agile methodology

  • Experience building APIs/back end work to support front end features & bug fixes

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (or TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux), Mongo (or PostgreSQL)

  • Prior knowledge & use of GitLab or GitHub
