Job Description

This company is hiring a Senior UX Designer to join their Waltham and Johnston RI office, offering a full-time remote role. For the past 30 years, this company has provided solutions for innovations in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and geology to help innovate sustainable solutions. They have been a part of the modern world's most extraordinary industrial transformations, helping thousands of manufacturers reinvent their development and production. They work with CAD software that allows the creation of physical products, such as skyscrapers, planes, and wind turbines. They are growing one of their product lines that provides Fluid, Electromagnetic, and dynamic motion simulations that help companies in the defense, aerospace, and transportation to life science industries.

Your purpose as a member of this company would consist of creating new features and high-fidelity prototypes that improve the offering of their work. Their main goal for you is to support the ongoing development of their operational analytics suite solutions and study performance using artificial intelligence while monitoring trails in real-time against changing industry conditions. Creating software solutions for their clients will help synthesize information across multiple data feeds, where it will be used to study new designs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 or more years of experience with UI/UX on long-term projects designing for enterprise software in data-rich environment
  • Strong understanding in wireframing and interactive prototyping tools, including maintenance and use of style and components libraries.
  • High data fluency, with a background in mathematics, or another technical field is desirable.
  • Proficient in how to build intuitive, user-first designs
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Human Factors, Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field (Industrial Design and Mechanical engineering are also considered)

• Strong understanding of UX research principles, and experience formatting the research results into practical design solutions

• Knowledge of or experience using UX tools for prototyping like Adobe XD, Sketch, Azure, or Figma, etc.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities
  • Support project lead in managing design team tasks and scheduling
  • You will be researching, designing, creating, and prototyping interactions and interfaces for that enhance the industry leading 3D application for engineers, as well as contributing to our next generation of 3D applications
  • You will conduct user research activities to help inform design work and answer key design questions
  • You will participate in a strong critique culture, sharing and improving your own designs, and helping others improve theirs
