Under the supervision of the Controller, the candidate will assist a small finance team with accounting and office tasks for our world class restaurants: Grill 23 & Bar; Harvest; The Banks Seafood and Steak; and Bistro du Midi.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team with a welcoming personality that understands the importance of hospitality in dealing with vendors, customers and co-workers. The Accounting and Office Assistant will be responsible for performing varied accounting activities including: data entry; maintaining the general ledger; preparing various accounting statements and reports as needed and general office tasks such as: liaising with landlord; sending and receiving mail and packages; pick-up/drop-off of restaurant interoffice mail; ordering supplies; and preparing correspondence.
Immediate Responsibilities:
Learn and execute full cycle accounts payable process
Learn and execute daily sales and payment reconciliations
Learn and execute weekly internal GL reporting
Provide overall back up and support for the accounting team and general office functions as needed

Qualifications:
1-3+ years of experience or Associates/Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
High attention to detail, analytics and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
