This is a bed and breakfast. Your work involves cleaning, making up rooms, and doing laundry. You may take on additional tasks if you have the skills and the desire.
You must have an eye for detail and also be able to tell if a room looks "just right." You should be able to balance competing priorities, so you know what you should do first and what you can put off. The more organized you are the easier this job is.
You should be thorough and efficient.
Bed and Breakfast or hotel experience is preferred but not required. We will work with you off and on for the first week until you are familiar with the duties required. After that you will be expected to work independently.
But, you must be willing to accept correction. We expect you to improve continuously with our oversight.
You can count on additional income from tips.
Your workday begins at 11 a.m. and continues until all the work for that day is done, varying from 2 to 4 hours. You will work about 10 - 20 hours per week spread out over 5 days. Which days of the week you work will change from week to week, but will most often include Sunday. This will only ever be a part-time job, so you should not rely on it as your only source of income. It is a good way to make some extra money if you have the middle of the day available.
You should be energetic, reliable, and work well with others, since you will be one of two housekeepers. No quiet-quitters need apply.
This is good physical work, but with the right attitude it can be fun too.
