We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Maître d to join our team and lead our restaurant to continued success, while also overseeing and managing event bookings and operations.
Position Overview: As the Maître d at our fine dining establishment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for all guests. In addition, you will manage and coordinate private events, special functions, and reservations, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth workflow, and staff performance.
Manage and mentor restaurant staff, providing training, guidance, and support to foster a positive and efficient working environment.
Handle event booking and coordination, including corporate events, private parties, and special occasions.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and overall ambiance of the restaurant.
Create and manage reservations and guest seating arrangements.
Monitor liquor inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure proper stock levels.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.
Track and control labor and other costs on a weekly basis.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as restaurant policies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine pairing, and menu offerings.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
