Seeking Servers for New Restaurant

Colette Wine Bistro (soon to be: Margeaux) is seeking 1-2 servers for breakfast, brunch, and dinner service starting immediately. Hiring priority will be given to candidates who are able to start training the week of August 5th, and are able to provide breakfast service 2-4 days a week.

Colette Wine Bistro is a French restaurant located inside the Porter Square Hotel. The staff is friendly & hard working, and many have worked at the restaurant for 2 years. We are looking for someone to add to the team who brings a positive attitude, genuinely enjoys making guests smile, and wants to be an integral part of a concept transition.

Ideal candidates are folks who:

- are passionate about delicious food, wine & cocktails

- love to dine out themselves & know the meaning of "hospitality"

- care about people genuinely, whether a guest or coworker

- take initiative to "make things right" when they see something out of place

- are detail orientated and know that the small things matter to a guests' experience

- are physically able to lift items up to 50lbs, stand & walk for hours at a time, bend down, etc. in order to perform all the physical aspects required of service as needed

No prior experience serving is necessary. If you want to learn how to be a warm & effective server, make people happy, & earn money while doing so, this is the job for you.

Training will be led by the owner, general manager, and coworkers collectively. Training wage is $15/hr (approximately 2-3 shifts). Once trained, servers will progressively earn more in tips, and receive more hours per week as they advance in training & capability. This position may be either part-time or full time, depending on your availability. We are flexible.

The owner wants to ensure that all staff are compensated adequately for their work. Servers are guaranteed a minimum of $30/hr for breakfast service, and approximately $170 minimum per dinner shift (subject to seasonality, scheduling, etc.)

Hours of service:

Breakfast 8am-12pm (Tues-Friday)

Brunch 10am-2pm (Sat & Sun)

Dinner 4:30pm-10pm (11pm on Fri & Sat)
