5 Corners Kitchen is looking for a sous chef to join our culinary team. As a sous chef, you will be a key player, working closely with the the chef/owner to ensure that every dish we serve meets our high standards of quality and taste. Your role is crucial in maintaining the balance between exceptional food quality, cost control, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
Strong commitment to food quality, consistency, and continued learning
Willingness and ability to learn the stations from line cooks in preparation for stepping fully into the management role
Supervise and direct food preparation and production
Motivate and inspire the team
Create daily specials and assist with seasonal menu changes
Take ownership of the physical spaceand keep it clean, stocked and organized
Managing the BOH schedule
Managing food + labor costs
Spanish a plus!
Job Requirements:
Strong culinary skills and an upbeat, positive personality
Strong communication and people skills
At least 3 years of restaurant experience preferred
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
