As a Zuma Sushi Cook, you are responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to uphold Zuma's standards of excellence and deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and plating standards

Handle and portion seafood, including slicing, filleting, and cutting fish for sushi and sashimi

Ensure the freshness, quality, and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients used in sushi preparation

Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in sushi preparation

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment, tools, and work surfaces

Naturally friendly, customer-oriented, and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences

Previous experience as a Sushi Cook or Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment or sushi bar

Proficiency in sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills, seafood handling, and sushi rolling

Knowledge of different types of fish, seafood, and sushi ingredients, as well as sushi terminology and presentation styles

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
