We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide hands-on care for a 67-year-old woman with advanced early-onset Alzheimer’s. Nancy has a rare neurological form of dementia that has caused severe motor impairment and loss of verbal communication. She requires full support with all activities of daily living (ADLs).
Open Shifts:
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
(Hourly Pay: $20–$25.00 based on qualifications and experience)
Additional shifts available if it's a good fit but Saturday is the first priority
Location: Beverly, MA
Please note: These hours and rates are specific to the family's care needs and budget, and unfortunately cannot be changed. We kindly ask that only those who are available for the listed shifts and comfortable with the outlined pay apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-to-stand and Hoyer lift (training provided)
-Assist with toileting and incontinence care (every 2 hours during day shifts)
-Administer medications as directed
-Feed meals and snacks (spoon-fed; food is ground)
-Assist with hydration (cup must be held)
- Perform light housekeeping and meal prep
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
-Communicate effectively and respectfully with other caregivers at shift changes
Qualifications:
-Prior experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other serious neurological conditions
-Ability to lift and move 50–75 lbs
-Must be able to bend, kneel, and assist with physical care tasks
-Dependable, compassionate, and proactive
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
