Fee for Service COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Days/Hours: Variable during Mon-Fri 3-7pm
Position Summary: Join a fun and dynamic OT, SLP and PT team focused on play based therapy, social skills, family coaching and education. This may be 1:1 direct treatment, group treatment, and open gym. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
NBCOT certified upon hire.
Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy
Currently registered/licensed in MA. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
One (1) year experience in pediatric care or related setting preferred
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Description:
Works with occupational therapists to plan, implement, and administer therapeutic programs and groups to restore and enhance performance in children with developmental delays.
Selects therapy activities to fit children's needs and capabilities.
Observes and records patients progress, attitudes, behavior, and inputs this information in EMR software.
Communicates and collaborates with other health care professionals and the child's family.
Implements or assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans to help children function to their highest potential.
Demonstrates therapy techniques such as sensory processing, sensory/emotional regulation, handwriting, fine/gross motor, reflex integration, etc.
Develops and implements social skills groups
Specific Job Requirements:
Strong child development skills and therapeutic relationship skills
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards children and families
Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the program
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Document appropriately and timely
Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
Follow occupational treatment plans for children under the direction of the supervising OT
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and timeliness
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
Pay: $34-$37 per hour
