We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work alongside our dentists to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental procedures by making them comfortable and explaining the process
Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and other necessary tasks
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment
Take and develop dental X-rays
Maintain accurate patient records
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Order and maintain dental supplies and equipment
Assist in administrative duties as needed (e.g., answering phones, managing patient intake forms)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Dental Assistant program (preferred)
Dental Assisting Certification (DANB or equivalent) is preferred
X-ray certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Prior experience in a dental office setting is a plus
