A family dental practice in Somerville is seeking a part-time general dentist in a unique type of office setting, likely 1-2 days per week. The provider will be doing a column of solely procedures (no exams/treatment planning), and primarily focusing on composite restorations, single unit crows, removable pros, and some pediatric dentistry. Owner will still be in the office, focusing on exams, treatment planning, shame reduction/anxiety reduction support for our patients, office management, and my public health-facing projects . I am happy to support the associate as a mentor and provide all radiographs, chart notes, and go through case studies in preparation for each day of procedures.
Smiles By Rosie Family Dentistry is an all-ages general practice in Somerville. We focus on treating patients with dental phobia, avoidance, and who fear judgment about their teeth. Much of our work is in helping reduce shame, educate patients about exactly what is recommended and why so that they can make informed decisions, and removing judgment from the dental setting. We treat a lot of people with disabilities, neurodivergence, and those with trauma histories.
We are also the first dental office to offer vaccinations and we administer flu, covid, and HPV vaccines, so I am happy to train you on everything to do with vaccinations. We do a lot of public health and community-facing work as well.
I am looking for a dentist that is friendly, welcoming, nonjudgmental, a conservative treatment planner, and just generally has a warm and soothing personality. I'm very happy to provide training and support in treating this unique population. We have a robust schedule and a new patient waitlist of over 1700 people! I would love to try to get a lot of them scheduled, and having another dentist will be a big help.
Salary offered is $300 per day of 3 days of training, and then $700 per day for the first 3 months, after which a percentage of collections (if more than per diem) is offered, among other benefits such as PDO and 401k with match.
