The Medical Assistant (MA) is a vital member of our healthcare team and is responsible for patient care as assigned by a licensed provider (MD and NP). As a Medical Assistant you must be able to provide courteous, efficient and detail-oriented service to our patient community. You must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. You must work collaboratively and respectfully with other staff members at Village Pediatrics.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
-Minimum 3 years Medical Assistant experience
-Experience working in a pediatric or family medicine setting preferred
-Medical Assistant Certification preferred
Duties Include:
-Must be able to perform a variety of duties. These tasks include bringing patients from the waiting room into the exam room, taking vitals and updating the electronic medical record.
-Must be able to administer vaccinations
-Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Completes inventories and orders medical supplies
-Front office duties. These tasks include, but are not limited to: greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, referrals, checking insurance eligibility and processing patient payments
Village Pediatrics is an independent practice located on the borders of Easton, Stoughton and Brockton. We are a member of the Boston Children's Primary Care Alliance and are affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital.
Position is Part-Time or Full-Time. Up to 32 hours per week with availability to work some Saturdays
