I'm an easy going, happy-go-lucky quadriplegic.
Transfers are done with a ceiling track system and an electric hoist similar to a hoyer (no lifting).
Time:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm 9:30pm.
Description:
Make and feed me dinner I'll eat anything short of creeping and crawling things but you'll usually be preheating leftovers from what my opposite night aides cook.
Transfer me to bed it's a ceiling track system with a hoist so no lifting (I might flap my wings during the flight and sing I believe I can fly)
Undress me in bed I weigh 135 lbs so I'm easy to rock-n-roll
Give me a suppository and transfer me to my shower chair the transfer flight is round-trip
Back me over the toilet and be prepared for digital stimulation google it (digital stimulation for spinal cord injury)
Roll me to the shower for shampoo and soap down my hair is short and fading fast (sniffle sniffle)
Setup my bed for return flight while I sing in the shower and make sounds like coyotes
Floss/brush/rinse you only have 1 set of teeth
Back to bed
Set me up for the night no bedtime stories
You will be trained as many nights as you need to feel comfortable.
Experience is not necessary. Some of my best aids have been people with NO experience I have a sense of humor, a lot of patients and am easy to get along with. No, REALLY :-0
Thanks,
Rob
