Flexible days and hours: Mon-Fri 3-7pm
Position Summary: Join a fun and dynamic OT, SLP and PT team focused on 1:1 play based therapy and family coaching/education.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
Must have passed the National Physical Therapy Exam upon hire.
Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
Currently licensed in MA.
One (1) year experience in pediatric care or related setting preferred
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Description:
Works to evaluate, plan, implement, and administer therapeutic programs to restore and enhance performance in individuals with developmental delays. Selects therapy activities to fit children's needs and capabilities. Observes and records patients progress, attitudes, and behavior, and maintains this information in electronic records management software.
Communicates and collaborates with other health care professionals and the family involved with the care of the child.
Instructs children and families in home programs and the care and use of therapeutic equipment. Services are aimed at promoting a child's ability to function independently and participate actively in home, school and community environments.
Provides services aimed to improve mobility, develop or restore function, alleviate pain, prevent or decrease permanent physical disabilities and promote overall health and wellness.
Promotes independence, increases participation, facilitates motor development and function, improves strength and endurance, and enhances learning opportunities.
Specific Job Requirements:
Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the program
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
General understanding of physical therapy and medical terminology.
Strong child development skills and therapeutic relationship skills
Follows physical therapy treatment plans developed in conjunction with the child and family
Document and bill appropriately and timely
Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards children and families
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and timeliness
Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
Pay: Fee for Service $55.00-$58.00 per session
