Recovery Coach

The primary responsibility of a recovery coach is to support the voices and choices of the people they help, removing obstacles to recovery, linking Members to a recovery community, and serve as a personal guide and mentor. The recovery coach will work with the individual to develop a Wellness Plan that orients the activities of the recovery coach's service.

The recovery coach will be a part of a larger team of other recovery coaches and case managers but will also be an active interdisciplinary member of the Outpatient Center’s track of specialty clinicians, supervisors, and prescribers who serve people with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. The recovery coach will provide education to persons engaged in services but may also utilize their own recovery experience and knowledge with the entire treatment team.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary: $21.63 ($22.63/hour with CPS certification, $23.63/hour with CARC certification, and $24.63/hour with both CPS and CARC certifications)

Required Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) required

Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a team of staff required

Must have a valid driver's license, regular access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle, as needed

Required Experience:

Lived experience of recovery in the context of substance use and mental health

Related work experience and ability to articulate wellness/recovery values and principles required

Must have either a college degree or a high school diploma/GED and at least 6 months relevant

Certification as a Recovery Coach highly preferred or commit to obtaining CRC within 12 months of hire
