Full-Time Landscape Crew Leader with Established Company!

Job Description:

· Provide attractive and clean landscapes for a portfolio of commercial and residential properties.

· Assist management by providing team leadership in the field.

· Play a major role in the installation process of high-quality landscape designs.

· Learn and execute proper landscaping techniques.

· Utilize company equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full-service installations and proper handling of all materials.

· Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity whether working with a team or independently.

· Routinely load/unload equipment on trailers and safely transport equipment and materials to job sites.

· Individuals must be physically capable of properly lifting heavy materials on a regular basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, trimming, or edging around flower beds, walkways, and walls.

· Manage and train crew members to effectively assist in achieving client requests.

· Responsibly operate well maintained company fleet vehicles and equipment to efficiently navigate team members and assets through daily assigned routes.

· Delegate and assign tasks to qualified crew members to maintain efficiency and quality standards.

· Provide support and guidance to crew members.

· Educate crew members on the company’s safety requirements as well as reinforce company policies and safety standards.

· Prune or trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or a chain saw.

· Maintaining and repairing company tools and equipment.

· Maintain property landscapes and complete assigned tasks while onsite using company equipment and power tools.

· Provide upkeep of a variety of property features including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, and other ground features.

· Attending regular safety training courses and always demonstrating safe practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Ability to operate company vehicles and power equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.

· Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, pruning saws, axes, and brush trimmers.

· Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

· Able to maintain professionalism and integrity, as well as confidentiality.

· Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing work environment.

· Enthusiastic, creative team member- able and willing to participate within the local community.

· Must be able to lift over 50lbs. and work in extreme weather.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscape maintenance preferred with 1 year in a leadership role.

· Minimum 1 year experience towing enclosed landscape trailers.

· A valid Driver’s license is a requirement.

Schedule:

Typically, the work week runs from Monday to Friday. Saturdays may be required due to client needs and weather.
