Walnut Hill Apartment Management is seeking candidates for full time - live in Superintendent role for a 130 unit elderly community in Somerville, MA. The ideal candidate will be a responsible person with good interpersonal skills, ability to respond well in emergencies. Duties include handling resident lockouts, building emergencies, building patrol, and janitorial duties as needed. Familiarity with basic plumbing and electric repairs, and maintenance experience is preferred. The position requires the candidate to be available during traditional non-business hours, including holidays and week-ends. Notwithstanding planned vacations, it is expected the Superintendent will be no more than 30 minutes from the property to respond to issues. Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Cell phone reimbursement for local calls associated with job. Candidates are required to have a physical and a CORI Check and a drug test.
Additionally, there would be the opportunity to work with other maintenance staff during normal business hours performing basic services as listed above, along with building projects. Salary and benefits for this segment of the position to be negotiated.
