Job Title: Part-Time Maintenance Technician (On-Site)

Schedule: 25 hours/week; mornings preferred
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to provide on-site general maintenance support at our regional shopping center, which hosts a variety of national and local tenants. This position offers hands-on responsibility in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully operational environment for tenants and visitors.
This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position supporting multiple commercial properties in the area. Reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting, lighting, and plumbing.
Monitor and maintain common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Respond promptly to service requests from tenants or property management.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
Perform seasonal upkeep including basic landscaping support, snow removal (assisting third party vendor if necessary), and debris removal.
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as directed by management.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Report any urgent issues, hazards, or equipment failures to the Property Manager immediately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Flexibility to support additional nearby properties in the future is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position requires physical work and time spent both indoors and outdoors.
Interaction with tenants, vendors, and the public is expected.
May require occasional flexibility with hours based on emergencies.
