We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipping & Receiving Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, and assisting with various tasks around the shop or warehouse to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate and properly documented
Prepare items for shipment (labeling, packing, palletizing, etc.)
Maintain records of received goods and outgoing shipments
Shop Hand Duties:
Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the shop area
Organize tools, equipment, and materials
Support mechanics, technicians, or tradespeople with basic tasks
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
Safely operate shop equipment and tools
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or shop hand role preferred
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable transportation and good attendance record
