Solo practitioner specializing in high stakes criminal appeals seeks a law clerk for 10-15 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have completed a legal research and writing course at an accredited law school. Applications from well qualified paralegals with outstanding research and writing skills are also welcome.
Responsibilities include:
Obtaining, reviewing and organizing case files;
Conducting legal research;
Drafting legal memoranda, correspondence and motions for attorney review; and
Interacting with court personnel, witnesses, experts and clients.
This is a remote position with flexible hours. Excellent opportunity to gain substantive experience in litigation, criminal and appellate law.
Pay between $35 and $40/hour. Applications should include CV and legal writing sample.
