MARKETING ASSISTANT (Event Sponsorship & Exhibit Sales)
Cambridge Innovation Institute (CII) is seeking a creative and self-motivated MARKETING ASSISTANT to fulfill the marketing of our sales team’s sponsorship and exhibit opportunities. This is the perfect position for a marketing or business grad with 1-2 years of marketing experience, who is ready to take the next step in his/her professional career.
This is a multi-faceted and fast-paced position. The Marketing Assistant supports the sales marketing team with the following duties:
Develop and execute e-mail-marketing campaigns to promote exhibit and sponsorship opportunities for our events.
Track the e-mail-marketing schedule for each conference, and provide statistics for each campaign.
Generate viable leads for the sales team through multiple marketing avenues.
Work with conference producers and the sales team on conference highlights and timing of marketing-related emails for each conference.
Write and proofread sales-related copy for marketing materials, e.g. brochures and event websites.
Collaborate with the design department to plan the design and production of each exhibit & sponsorship prospectus.
Create, post, and update web content for sponsorship and exhibit pages.
Create social-media promotions for event sponsors to post on LinkedIn.
Support Best of Show Awards program efforts (web design, marketing, planning, etc.) across multiple conferences.
Assist the sales team with client requests for demographics, attendee lists, event statistics, etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Top candidates for this position are marketing or business grads who have spent 1-2 years supporting a sales team’s marketing efforts as a Marketing Assistant, Marketing Specialist, or Marketing Associate.
They are high-energy, creative and innovative, with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
Organizational skills and flexibility are a must, as the Marketing Assistant responds daily to multiple & frequent requests.
The very best candidates have used HTML-enabled e-mail campaigns to market conferences, events or tradeshows.
Compensation includes base salary and eligibility for incentive bonus and company profit share.
