Title: Program Coordinator

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Metalwerx (www.metalwerx.org) is a nonprofit school and community studio located in Waltham, MA, and is committed to promoting the art of jewelry and metals through exceptional classes, workshops, studio space, programming and events for personal and professional development.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting educational programming needs as well as completing administrative tasks related to the day-to-day operations at Metalwerx. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week.
Greet visitors, instructors and guests, providing customer service as needed; communicate with and assist visiting instructors with travel arrangements and bookings.
Support Program Manager across all aspects of course needs, including but not limited to online course listings, participant inquiries, registration, waitlists, tracking, notifications and creation of course lists.
Schedule onsite and virtual teaching assistants.
Build out course information on the website.
Work with Office Administrator to process invoices, withdrawals and refunds; track payments and waivers.
Promote, process, and manage all scholarship applications.
Complete administrative tasks related to private lessons, open studio scheduling, and membership.
Provide support for fundraising events and special initiatives, including coordination of exhibitions.
Send thank you notes to donors, instructors, and other Metalwerx constituents as needed.
Support marketing efforts by creating social media content (photos, videos, posts) and performing other tasks as requested by the Marketing Specialist.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Power Point, CiviCRM, and Quickbooks
Detail-oriented and reliable, with strong decision-making skills
Entry level position but experience with an arts education organization is a plus
Strong background in metal arts and/or jewelry making, BFA in metal arts a plus
