Reider +CO is searching for a full time Procurement and Logistics Coordinator. We are high-end interior designer located in Bostons South End catering to residential and hotel clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead on pricing fabrics, furniture and all design elements for our projects to create comprehensive client proposals for the designers.
● Create Project Specifications and Purchase Orders
● Order all furniture, fabrics, and merchandise for all Reider + Co projects.
● Review purchase orders prior to issuing deposits and final payment to vendors.
● Manage and track all purchases using Monday.com and work closely with the team at our receiving warehouse on all deliveries.
● Coordinate with the receiving warehouse on any items that were delivered damaged and manage having the items fixed or replaced in a timely manner.
● Continuously monitor all orders and discuss production delays with vendors and find solutions to challenges at hand, keeping the team updated weekly on all orders.
● Continuously update the status of orders into our receiving database.
● Coordinate dates with our receiving warehouse for final home installations along with managing the product list for delivery to ensure a successful installation.
● Responsible for adding subcontractor and custom workroom visits to the team Vendor Calendar and confirming these appointments with both the vendors and the client’s 2-3 days before each appointment.
● Participate in weekly team meetings and provide thorough updates on all projects.
● Open trade accounts with vendors and keep our database updated.
● Reconcile the credit cards each month in preparation for our accountant’s visit.
● Work with the Director of Operations monthly to compile the client merchandise invoices.
● Order all samples of materials and CFAs.
● Responsible for answering all incoming calls to the office - Monday - Friday during business hours
● General office duties include opening mail and deliveries, placing team lunch orders when requested, taking out the trash and recycling, and keeping the studio clean and organized
YOU BRING
● 2+ years relevant experience
● Detail-oriented - triple checking your work to ensure everything is precise.
● Experienced in Customer and Vendor Interactions
● Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written - you will be the connection between our office and our clients, industry colleagues and vendors so the ability to create and maintain strong working relationships is imperative.
● A level of confidence when dealing with vendors regarding the challenges that can arise with ordering and managing merchandise.
● A forward thinker with the ability to problem solve considering every outcome as issues arise.
● Prior experience coordinating work at various stages of a process.
● Highly organized and able to stay focused and be decisive in a busy, open-plan office environment.
● Time management and multitasking skills are a must along with a sense of urgency when completing tasks.
● A team player with a positive and professional demeanor that takes the initiative on jumping into projects and assisting as needed.
PREFERRED SKILLS
● Microsoft Suite & Google Workspace to include Excel & Google Sheets● Experience with Design Manager a plus
● Polished Communication, Comfortable Answering Phones
● Monday.com
● Design industry experience and industry specific software is a plus
