Job Summary: This is the job for a person that wants a hands-on, high detail work environment that contributes to the aerospace industry. No experience is necessary but is preferred. We prefer full-time employees, but will also consider part-time candidates.

Duties include following work instructions to:

Intake & Inventory

Receive and inspect parts as they arrive from manufacturers to ensure that they meet specifications.

Generate job travelers to accompany the parts during their coating.

Transfer the parts from outer packaging into bins for processing.

Maintain an inventory of parts inhouse for coating

Maintain an inventory of masks, and packaging materials needed for the team to apply paints to parts.

Coating operations

Identify the masks that work with specific parts, and assemble them for painting operations.

Most paint spraying is done by a robotic assistant, but some touchup with an airbrush is done by hand,

Assist in demasking the parts, cleaning off any overspray

Bake the parts in our ovens to cure the paint.

Clean off and restocking masks for reuse.

Inspection

Inspect the parts to ensure coating accuracy and color, using a variety of inspection tools.

Measure color value with spectrometer.

Packaging

Prepare the parts for shipment using cleanroom packaging.

Higher level employees will help to:

Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve manufacturability and decrease scrap

Train new hires

Learn Quality Control in an ISO environment

Requirements:

Be a U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident, as our work is ITAR controlled)

Have 20/20 corrected vision, and an eye for detail.

Climb stairs, occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

Read and follow work instructions written in English.

Be able to understand engineering drawings.

Communicate with other staff and collaborate on problem solving

Work in a team atmosphere and be willing to fill in other areas if and when needed

Be comfortable and safe in a laboratory or cleanroom environment.

Properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and follow all safety and company policies.
