We are an established precision machine shop located in Canton, MA, and we are looking for a full-time CNC machinist to join our incredible team. While experience with programming and setup is a plus, we are "willing to train" motivated team players.

Primary Responsibilities:
Set up and operation of CNC milling machines. Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and identify, sharpen, or replace worn tools.
Analyze work orders, engineering plans, and CAD/CAM files to identify machining requirements, interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to ensure they meet tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC equipment by following the manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reducing downtime to maintain operational efficiency.
Conduct morning startup of equipment.
Follow all safety protocols. Keep a clean, organized workspace and create a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality control activities.
Facility upkeep and other assigned duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in CNC machine operation and setup with a basic understanding of G&M code.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to meet changing or multiple deadlines.
Ability to take initiative and exercise judgment to solve operational problems.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Stand for long periods, frequently reaching with arms and hands.
Handle small components.
Work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and non-hazardous chemicals.
