Schedule - Three days in office - 21 hours per week.
This position is a critical part of a medical device development team responsible for the design, implementation and verification of an innovative medical imaging device.
Key Responsibilities (“Do”)
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team to capture design outputs for a novel medical device
Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawing, procedures, BOMs, and specifications
Results Expected (“Deliver”)
Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a novel and complex medical device.
Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device.
Generate and manage specification documents.
Generate and manage BOMs
Manage all documents accurately in a QMS
Qualifications
5 years or greater experience in mechanical design and drafting of machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components.
Expertise in utilizing SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components.
Strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5
Experience in generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs and documentation through a QMS

Experience with mechanical design for medical devices
Experience with cable drawings
