Unique, innovative human service agency based in Merrimac, MA providing an array of Therapeutic Supports to Adults with Disabilities has the following position available:

Vocational Day Program Coordinator (FT/PT)

Primary Functions:

· Assist in the management and oversight of all vocational training, employment, and Flex Day Supports

· Assist with the coordination of transportation

· Assist with Coordination /oversight of all vocational training, employment and skill building activities at the agency’s various sites

· Assist with Implementation and oversight of all safety/OSHA requirements as related to each site

· Follow SLC and funding agencies protocol and policies, adhere to reporting requirements including DPPC and incident reports and maintain all required documentation

·Assist with implementation of ISP goals and established therapeutic guidelines including Positive Behaviour Supports and Trauma Informed Care

· Collaborate with Clinical Staff in conducting assessments, developing/implementing Staff Guidelines and Sensory protocols, and data collection measures

·Assist with active outreach, community development activities and establish relationships/partnerships with agencies/companies to develop training and employment opportunities

· Assist with licensure related activities and requirements, including Quest

Education

Minimum requirements Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience:

Applicants should have provided services to persons/youths with disabilities, and have worked in a related position for a minimum of two years. He or she also must share the belief that people with impairments have the ability to direct their own care, live interdependently or in shared living situations.

Skills/Qualities/Knowledge:

· Effective written and oral communication skills

· High degree of flexibility, adaptability, organization, and attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain a confidential working relationship

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

· Valid driver’s license

· Demonstrates solid interpersonal skills and is reliable, consistent and dependable.

· Exhibits good judgment and decision making skills even in challenging situations. Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills.

· Works well independently and as part of a team.

· Demonstrates initiative, commitment, and positive energy.

· Demonstrates personal awareness/self-reflection related to work issues and performance and is committed to personal and professional growth.

· Understanding of Shared Living Collaborative, and funding agencies policies, procedures, and regulations

· Ability to work effectively with all collaterals

· Provide oversight related to all record keeping requirements in collaboration with the Program Director.

· Applicants must also demonstrate a knowledge related to all essential safeguards and procedures such as fire safety, environmental and street safety.

· Current CPR, First Aid, Human Rights certification (training will be provided upon hire)
