Position: Recreation Specialist 1 Part-Time

Location: Somerville, MA

Rate of Pay: $16.80 per hour

Hours: 15 hours per week

Schedule: Must be flexible, varies based on programmatic need

PartTime Recreation Coordinator Summary: The Recreation Specialist 1 develops and implements recreational activities for people with traumatic brain injuries. The Recreation Specialist implements the organizations mission and values by supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives.

Part Time Recreation Coordinator Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or HiSET plus three years related experience required OR Associates degree plus one year related experience. One year of supervisory or human service experience desired.

PartTime Recreation Coordinator Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. To perform this job successfully, the individual should have familiarity with computers and basic word processing skills. Valid drivers license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle with compulsory auto insurance and vehicle registration, and willingness to transport program members in personal and/or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
