ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Overview
The Administrative Assistant enhances the team’s effectiveness by supporting bookkeeping, scheduling, record keeping and performing other clerical tasks.
The Seymour Institute’s Mission
The long-term objective of the Seymour Institute is to create and institutionalize a conceptual framework for a pro-poor, pro-family, pro-life movement within the ecumenical Black Church. One central aspect of this work is mobilizing the black church to work on urgent social justice issues, such as education and violence reduction.
Responsibilities:
Scan receipts and other documents into electronic format and store in a secure database system.
Organize and maintain physical files, documents, and other records in accordance with established procedures.
Liaise electronically with scheduler to remind employers of priority tasks and deadlines.
Apprise executives of upcoming commitments and resolve scheduling and other issues.
Process payments, letters and packages for mailing and dispatch outgoing mail.
Make bank deposits and withdrawals and maintain documentation.
Update various online spreadsheets regarding receipts, deposits and attendance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Some college education required
Strong teamwork skills
Organizational skills
Microsoft Office skills
Experience in administration preferred.
Hours:
10-15 hours per week.
Flexible schedule.
Work remotely occasionally.
Pay Scale:
$19-$23 per hour
