We are seeking a computer and social media savvy, friendly, multitasker to be responsible for
the ongoing requirements of the NSCB. The ideal candidate will have a strong working
knowledge of Boston’s North Shore.
The ED’s tasks to include but are not limited to:
On-site presence at all scheduled concerts
Overseer of on-site audience donations and participation in the Children’s March
Marketing: Publicity and Printing
Fund Raising (Mailings/Follow-Up) to past and potential donors
Bi-Weekly “Bullets” Email Update Blast to the Board
Administrative tax filing and preparation of checks
TheAdmin Director will be paid $5000 annually, payable over 10 or 12 months at the
option of the Admin Director.
The Admin Director will work closely with the NSCB Board, to handle the administrative
tasks associated with the process of producing the summer concert series and attend
scheduled concerts, and monthly Board meetings throughout the year.
The NSCB has been presenting a summer concert series at Salem Willows, Salem, MA since
1960. As a Corporation, the governance is led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Members of
the Board meet throughout the year (@6 times) to oversee and insure that state regulations are
being met and followed.
Our “Salem Willows Series" is six consecutive weeks, beginning after Memorial Day and ending
in August. Last year we contracted two additional concerts, one in downtown Salem, and one
in Ipswich, MA. It is a Board goal to continue some “run-out” concerts in our upcoming 2025
season.
The North Shore Concert Band is comprised of @ 25 members of the AFM Local 9-535 and is
registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a 501-C3, not for profit, corporation
and meets all of the state and federal requirements for the collection of donation
