Job Description: The Dental Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support to our dental team and ensure the smooth daily operation of the practice. This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and manage front desk duties with a friendly, professional attitude.

Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using dental management software.

Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance claims and billing inquiries.

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean and organized front office environment.

Assist in maintaining patient files and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA).

Process patient payments and handle financial transactions.

Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow.

Prepare and update patient charts and treatment plans.

Handle patient follow-ups, including appointment reminders and post-treatment instructions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; dental office experience preferred.

Previous experience as a dental administrative assistant or in a similar role is a plus.

Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology.

Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix Ascend ) is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor with patients and team members.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
