Administrative Assistant

Our client, a law firm in the Greater Boston area, is seeking a temporary to hire Administrative Assistant. This role is onsite five days a week with the hours being from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. This position requires duties such as answering phone calls, receiving deliveries, greeting guests, and performing different document prep. This role is compensating between $28 and $31 an hour depending on experience. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply!Responsibilities:Answers telephone calls and takes messages in a positive friendly and professional manner.Operates a computer and associated software efficiently.Receives deliveries and visitors; distributes mail as necessary; maintains good public relations; observes confidentiality.Prepares shipping labels and packages and tracks delivery.Performs typing, photocopying, and scanning; proofreads documents; enters time for some attorneys in a timely manner.Prepares letters and other legal documents from written and oral drafts; proofreads and makes corrections.Write professional emails to clients. Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications:3+ years of administrative experience is required. Experience working in a family law office is strongly preferred. Ability to read and write in order to proof and perform minor editing (e.g. punctuation, grammar, spelling, formatting).Ability to learn software and follow established protocols.Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and ask for guidance when necessary.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.Work occasionally under pressure of deadlines and mental effort and strain while producing accurate work products.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in using Office365, Outlook, Excel.
