Mailroom Clerk – Full-Time Opportunity
Location: Bedford/Lexington, MA
Hourly Rate: $23.00/hour
Expected Hours: 40 hours/week
About Us:
Granite Commercial Real Estate is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team. This full-time role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, holiday pay, and health insurance.
Schedule:
Typically Monday-Friday, within the range of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding holidays).
Responsibilities:
As a Mailroom Clerk, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth mail operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Receiving mail from external sources (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
Daily mail pickup and delivery to/from the Burlington, MA post office.
Processing incoming and outgoing mail, including metering and safeguarding.
Sorting and distributing mail to customer mailboxes.
Operating vehicles for mail delivery/pickup.
Generating reports from mail processing equipment and monitoring postage meters.
Escorting visitors and ensuring sign-in/out procedures are followed.
Inspecting mail for suspicious content or personal items.
Qualifications:
Security clearance preferred or ability to obtain and maintain one.
Clean driving record.
Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team.
Exceptional communication skills with a professional appearance and demeanor.
