Our three-person family office is seeking a part-time bookkeeper/accountant (10-15 flexible hours/week) to provide accounting support in an informal office setting, convenient to 128 and the Brandeis commuter rail station. The position reports to the Vice President of Renco Management.

Job Description:

Monitor cash inflows and outflows and assist with assessing cash needs for 14 entities.

Manage the bill pay process and coordinate wire transfers and ACH transactions.

Record journal entries related to vendor payments and investment transactions.

Reconcile credit card, bank account and investment activity.

Coordinate and organize tax information, process tax payments, and issue 1099’s.

Record cash activity related to investment capital calls and distributions.

Maintain records related to insurance policies and related activity.

Assist family members with various matters including accounting/tax support, technology, and other needs.

Assist with administrative duties for the family’s charitable foundation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Prior accounting/bookkeeping or related experience with family office operations preferred, Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Proficiency in utilizing QuickBooks and Excel

Strong accounting/bookkeeping, accounts payable and reconciliation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Detail oriented.

Flexibility to assume varied responsibilities and to respond to the needs of the moment.

Salary:

Starting at $38 per hour, with salary commensurate with experience. You must be legally able to work in the United States.

Position requires some in-person office presence but remote work hours are available.

If hired, must be up-to date with Covid vaccinations. Must also continue to remain up-to -date with Covid vaccination coverage.
