Virtual Assistant to Real Estate Entrepreneur – Part Time

Real estate entrepreneur with two long term rental properties in Boston and a vacation rental in California is seeking an assistant to handle a variety of personal and property management tasks. The role will be 95% virtual / remote, with rare on-site support at properties in East Boston and Roslindale.

Examples of Property Management Responsibilities:

- Communicate with utility company to resolve an issue related to damage caused during street upgrades regarding repair arrangements

- Coordinate to recover missing items incorrectly removed from property by a landscaping vendor

- Track supplies usage for an Airbnb property and determine optimal subscription delivery cadence

- Vetting and hiring services (e.g. gutter cleaning, fence repair) for rental properties

Examples of Personal Assistant Responsibilities:

- File travel insurance claim for a trip canceled due to medical emergency

- Coordinate Uhaul shipping box rentals and obtain necessary permits

- Hire Taskrabbit taskers for moving/packing assistance and manage scheduling changes

- Make rental car reservations and booking adjustments as needed

- Organize and manage RSVPs for a dinner event, ensuring suitable accommodations

- Research process to classify a dog as a service animal

- Research and identify 3-5 dentists within a 1-hour drive of California location with the best practices for airborne pathogen (e.g. COVID) mitigation, and schedule appointment.

The proportion of property management vs. personal assistant tasks will vary depending on need.

Required:

- Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills

- Know-how and patience to manage complex situations

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines and accomplish results independently

- Proficiency with online research and customer service interactions

- Strong organizational and focus skills

- Process awareness to make tasks more efficient and scalable

- Ability to manage time effectively and provide regular updates

Prior experience in property management or personal assistant roles a plus.
