Wulf's Fish is a growing, boutique seafood distributor serving top restaurants and wholesalers in Boston, New York City, and across the country. We source only the best seafood, handle it meticulously, and cut fish by hand with an old school attention to detail and service. We take pride in our products, relationships, and a good day’s work. We’re looking for an Operations Manager who can help support our Opening Operations, Receiving & QA, HACCP and general ass-kickery of a busy workday.
Key Responsibilities
Manage opening operations through multiple functions ranging from customer orders to order fulfillment and inventory reconciliation.
Coordinate with the production staff, providing direction on priorities and troubleshooting when necessary.
Spearhead the receiving of incoming product to ensure top-tier quality & driving order fulfillment.
Maintain and enforce aspects of compliance including HACCP and Wulf’s standard operating procedures.
Grow and actively employ industry knowledge to help give your team a competitive edge.
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal, and management skills.
High-level knowledge of quality seafood and seafood handling (HACCP Certified).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and an ability to rapidly learn new systems and platforms.
Must be organized, team-oriented, and accountable.
Valid driver's license with experience driving box trucks.
English and Spanish Fluency highly valued
Commitment
This is a salaried position with in-person 5-day scheduled shifts including a rotating sixth day.
Salaried management is expected to support staff outages when provided advance notice.
This position requires independent transportation to the job site that may precede public transportation service hours.
This role wears many hats and alternates between office work, freight receiving, production floor work, and freight drops/pickups when necessary.
