Senior Systems Engineer 100% Remote - up to $140k Overview:Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer experienced in managing complex system and infrastructure challenges at a dynamic organization. Responsibilities include leading system enhancements, optimizing automation processes, mentoring team members, contributing to capacity planning, evaluating new technologies, and participating in on-call rotations.Responsibilities:- Lead design and implementation of high-availability systems across data centers and cloud environments.- Drive automation initiatives for deployment and maintenance processes.- Provide technical guidance to resolve escalated issues promptly.- Collaborate with leadership to define technical requirements and roadmap.- Perform performance analysis and optimization to enhance system efficiency.- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.- Stay updated on emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.- Prioritize tasks to minimize downtime impact on customers.- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.- 8+ years in system engineering with enterprise-level solution experience.- Expertise in designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems.- Proficiency in Linux, Windows server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).- Strong knowledge of containerization, microservices, and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).- Deep understanding of network security principles and best practices.- Project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.- Problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping pace with emerging technologies.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
