NEC is a small environmental testing laboratory located in Salem, MA
We have an immediate opening for a reliable entry level laboratory analyst.
The position is a part-time position mornings 4 hours per day. Additional hours may be required as needed.
Prior work or academic experience in a related field is helpful but not required.
Training will be provided for all activities.
Candidate must be able to carefully follow written and verbal instructions.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Use of basic and advanced chemistry equipment (ICP, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS)
-QA/QC
- Data input using computer systems and manual calculations - excel spreadsheets.
Preferred Capabilities:
-BS in Chemistry
-Proficiency with MS Office products Excel and Word.
- Lab experience in analytical testing using EPA methods.
- Skills and knowledge of chemistry terminology, methods and procedures. Math and computer skills are essential.
An acceptable applicant must have strong computer skills - Windows OS
We are willing to train an appropriate candidate to perform laboratory analyses, methods and associated QA/QC.
