Senior Software Engineer/Team Coordinator

Senior Software Engineer/Team Coordinator (Auriga, Inc. – Woburn, MA). Multiple positions available. Propose technical solutions to fulfill customer needs. Communicate with customers, sales and engineering in order to envision, model and estimate software designs. Work with software teams to ensure quality of design and avoid complexity. Facilitate engineering collaboration with the development teams on customer side. Coordinate work performed by remote team using Auriga’s proprietary remote team management process. Define and assign individual tasks for remote team members. Collaborate with Auriga teams to resolve technical and architectural issues, and liaise with non-Auriga teams when needed to ensure overall project coordination. Perform research, development and knowledge gathering activities that require physical access to equipment or face-to-face communications with other teams on requests from remote team. Develop prototypes to estimate feasibility of different design approaches. Evaluate technologies to use in future projects. Ensure compliance of the software development process to Auriga-specific methodologies and processes as well as applicable regulatory standards. Review software code and other artefacts created by other team members to ensure Auriga-specific standards are met. Position based in Woburn, MA. Telecommuting permitted up to 50% of working time.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in software development and support. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: Backend development and bug fixing; developing prototypes to test designs; utilizing programming languages including Java EE, SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PL/PSQL; working in the card processing industry and ensuring compliance of the software with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard); Cloud infrastructure and High Availability solutions; working with tools including Eclipse Java EE IDE, SQL Developer, pgAdmin, Nexus, Bitbucket, and Jenkins; and, ensuring compliance of the software development process to ISO standards.

Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in Woburn, MA. Telecommuting permitted up to 50% of working time.
