Job Summary:
The Summer Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of all individuals at the pool. This includes monitoring swimming areas, enforcing rules and regulations, providing first aid and emergency care, and promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Safety:
Monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and maintain safety.
Remain alert and vigilant at all times, actively scanning the area for potential hazards or emergencies.
Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies, rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning and providing first
aid.
Enforcement of Rules and Regulations:
Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Educate patrons about safety rules and water safety practices.
First Aid and Emergency Response:
Administer first aid, CPR, or other emergency care as needed.
Contact emergency medical services (EMS) and other authorities in case of serious emergencies.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patrons in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer questions and provide information about the facilities and services.
Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
Training and Certification:
Participate in regular training sessions to maintain lifeguarding skills and certifications.
Stay updated with the latest safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Certifications: NO Certification needed. We will train the right person.
First Aid and CPR Certification: Must have current first aid and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including swimming, lifting, and
carrying heavy objects.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old (age requirement may vary depending on location).
Skills and Abilities:
Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety.
Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to enforce rules and regulations firmly and fairly.
High level of responsibility and reliability.

Exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather conditions.
