Assistant Manager – Landscape/Hardscape & Construction

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager with expertise in landscape maintenance, hardscape, and construction to support our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. This role requires someone who is a team player and is committed to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

Assist in overseeing landscape and hardscape construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.

Coordinate with project managers, crew members, and subcontractors to schedule tasks and allocate resources efficiently.

Provide hands-on support with landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system maintenance as needed.

Assist in the installation of various hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.

Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

Assist in estimating project costs, preparing proposals, and managing budgets to ensure profitability.

Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.

Act as a liaison between clients, project managers, and crew members to address any concerns or requests promptly.

Requires:

Previous management/lead experience

3+ years’ experience in landscaping, hardscaping, or construction, with knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and hardscape installation practices.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.

Familiarity with landscaping equipment, tools, and materials.

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
