Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving a variety of mechanical issues. This role requires proficiency in working with both gasoline and diesel engines, as well as a solid understanding of automotive electrical systems. The Automotive Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire service, and brake repair.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools.
Repair and replace components such as transmissions, powertrains, and suspension systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
Interpret schematics for complex automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
Must have own tools.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, including diesel engine repair.
Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics is essential.
Experience with air brake systems, shocks & struts, alignment, and suspension repairs is highly desirable.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to ensure accuracy throughout the repair process.
Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
