Helical Drilling, Inc., is a Geotechnical Design Build firm that specializes in Ground Improvement throughout the New England area is looking for an experienced Driller Foreman.
Helical is comprised of Geotechnical Engineers, Construction Managers and Field Crews under one roof.
DRILLER FOREMAN
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the Micropile, grouting and small diameter drilling industry
Strong knowledge of the various types of micropile and tieback rigs
Strong Knowledge of the various type of drill tooling, how to set them up and proper operation.
Strong understanding of soils and how to deal with the variable conditions often seen in drilling. How to choose the
right tooling for the given ground conditions.
Ability multitask, delegate and do if required
Strong work ethic, driven, self-motivated and able to self-direct
Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of the micropile and drilling operations, hands on problem solver
Able to work well with others
Mechanically inclined, experience working on drill rig and tooling
OSHA 10 and or 30
Driver’s License and or CDL
Collaborate w/ Superintendents, Construction Manager or Project Managers to develop a plan to complete the work
in the safest and most efficient manner
Organize and track inventory, bits, drill steel, flushing adapters, etc.
Available day/evening for urgent questions and issues both from office and field
50hr a week position +/-
Skills
5+ years of experience installing large diameter helical piles
Experience with large excavators and high-capacity torque motors is mandatory
Operate Equipment-Lulls, Skid Steer, Forklift, Excavators, Manlift
Must have Current License and Reliable Vehicle
Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
General Mechanical Skills
Ability to communicate job site conditions with engineering staff
Ability to access soil conditions and problems to get the job done
Assure all drilling functions include quality control and standard drilling methods according to project specs
Assure all safety measures are being taken by yourself and crew
Maintain Equipment Daily
OSHA 10
Hoisting License
Must be able to Travel the New England Area
