Chieftain Construction & Development is hiring an Excavation Laborer. The Laborer is generally responsible for assisting the operator.
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND DAILY FUNCTION:
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas
Operate pneumatic hammers and tampers as directed
Pickup and delivery of materials needed on construction site
Maintain and clean equipment and work area
Adheres to all health and safety standards and report issues or concerns
Keep materials organized and protected on job sites
Drive small dump truck and haul materials as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Good English skills; both written and verbal
Valid Driver’s License
Self-starter that shows initiative and drive to fully complete tasks
Organized and clean
General knowledge of excavation, site work, utilities
Desire to learn and work collaboratively with others
Takes pride in quality of work performed.
