Responsibilities:

As an Environmental Field Technician, you will perform field tasks associated with our project sites, including the operation and maintenance of remediation systems and sampling of environmental media expertise. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assistance with site remediation system operations and maintenance activities

- Inspecting system equipment to evaluate remedial system performance and identify potential malfunctions

- Performing maintenance on system components to ensure or restore proper operation and compliance

- Collecting samples from monitoring wells and recovery wells

- Collecting stormwater samples

- Collecting soil and soil gas samples

- Collecting, recording, and evaluating system performance data

- Oversight and supervision of subcontractors involved in environmental remediation and system maintenance and repairs

- Perform physical labor, including the ability to physically move around outdoors in various terrains, occasionally lift and carry objects and equipment, and climb ladders to access areas

Qualifications:

Field sites are located in New England (mostly in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire). Candidates should be prepared to work on projects related to the investigation and environmental remediation of industrial and commercial sites. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required. Ideal candidates will have:

- Understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations and performing work in a compliant manner with the regulations and facility safety requirements

- Use of a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel between worksites (note: a Company vehicle may be available for use)

- Field work year-round, most of which is outdoors

- OSHA 40 Hazwoper Certification preferred (can be obtained upon point of hire)

- Strong mechanical skills

- Experience with remediation systems and site construction is preferred

- Familiarity with environmental equipment and sampling techniques is preferred

- The ability to lift heavy items, and a strong commitment to safety in all field-related activities.

- Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug screening

- Ability to work 40+ hours a week

- Ability to work over time if needed

Pay Range: $25.00/hr. - $27.00/hr.
